You can upload videos to the VideoManager and then edit them centrally for publishing.

After the initial login you will automatically directed to the video asset management area. Otherwise, it is possible to switch to this area by means of the dropdown menu in the action toolbar.

 

The User Interface

The asset management area is divided into the following sections:

Navigation

The navigation is in the left-hand browser window area. Here, all existing channels are presented hierarchically in a tree structure. New channels can be created or existing channels be edited here. 

Via the navigation you can also open the recycle bin.

Video list

The video list contains all videos uploaded to the VideoManager (the list is arranged in descending order of the upload date).

Info

The visibility of videos is based on your authorization: with regard to your access rights, it can happen that certain videos are not listed here.

SearchThe video asset management has a search function for targeted searches for videos. The fulltext search considers standard metadata and also title and description of chapters and interactive overlays.
Editing area with previewThe editing area is on the right-hand side of the browser window. You can view and edit data of the selected video from the video list in topically organized accordion menus. In the preview player you can view the video.
Action toolbar

The action toolbar of the video asset management offers the following commands:

  • Upload: videos from the local drive can be uploaded.
  • Delete: one or more selected videos of the video list can be moved to the recycle bin.
  • Selection of the VideoManager: dropdown menu to select the VideoManager instance you want to work with.
  • Help: link to the online documentation of the VideoManager.
  • Menu: via the dropdown menu you can switch to the Player Generator or Administration area.
  • Logoff: logoff from the system.
