Access profiles define what video rights are allowed for users who do not belong to the ownership group of a video. In order to exercise one of those rights, the user must have it in the default/master group. For example, an access profile named "Read-only" might only contain the "View videos" right. This means that when a video uses this access profile, users outside of the video's ownership group are only allowed to view the video. It will still be hidden from users who don't have the right to view videos in the default group.determine what video permissions non-owners have. Depending on the configuration of permissions, non-members are granted the right to view, edit, or manage videos belonging to a group.

A default access profile for all videos can be assigned here in the administration area. Access profiles can also be assigned to videos individually. When a video is set to a specific access profile, this setting overrides the default setting. See the "Assigning an Access Profile to a Video" chapter for information about how to assign an access profile to  a video.
