"Video Conference" is a separate feature package and may not be available in your WebCast. Contact your administrator for more details.
With video conference connectors, you can use Webcast as a single video conference room, allowing participants to dial in from multiple video conference platforms (Skype for Business, Google Hangouts, etc.) at the same time, all using the same link, without worrying about compatibility or bandwidth.
Once the connector has been created in WebCast Manager, the process for setting up a video conference connector in Operator is similar to stream targets.
In the Operator view, a new edit panel called Video Conference will appear.
This pane contains an "email address" (actually a conference room ID) and a PIN. Your participants need both in order to dial into your WebCast conference.
- A blue required status means the conference has not started yet (or no one has connected to the connector yet)
- A yellow waiting status means the connector is waiting for users to dial in
- A green started status means the connector is working
- A red status means the connector has been disconnected and needs to be reconfigured
You need to set a date, time and duration for your livesteam in WebCast Manager before you can use video connectors.
