To configure a webcast,

proceed as follows:

follow the steps below.

  1. In the navigation panel, click
the entry
  1. "Webcast". In the editing area, you will see a list of all previously created webcasts.

  • Enter the data that that are described in the following.

    • In the General information area, the following data are required:

    Start dateEnter the date of the event. Alternatively use the calendar tool.
    Start timeEnter the event time in hh:mm.
    SecurityActivate the checkbox if you want a password input and then specify the password in the text box provided for this purpose.
    Dataminer 
    VideoManagerActivate the checkbox if you want to select a VideoManager. In the dropdown-menu, select the desired VideoManager.
    For the design of the webcast page, you can make the following configuration under Design:

    LogoEnter the URL to the logo you want to integrate.
    Background colorEnter a valid HEX code for the background (e.g. #ccff33).
    Player positionSelect the player position by activating the corresponding radio button:
    • left
    • right
    Settings for the live stream will be made in the Live area.

    Streaming serverFrom the drop down.menu, select a streaming server for the live stream.
    Audio only streamActivate the checkbox, if only the audio track will be made available.
    Audio only screenshotIf you have selected "Audio only", you can optionally display a screenshot during the live stream. To do this, specify the URL to the desired screenshot.

    Warning

    You should only create a unique Webcast for each event. If you reuse an already created Webcast for a new event with an activated DVR, the DVR of the events will be corrupted and therefore not be usable.


    1. If defaults have been defined under the Theme, VideoManager and/or Streaming Server menu items, the appearance of the form will change, as these defaults are automatically applied to the new Webcast. At it's simplest, you need only enter an Event Name and save the configuration.

    2. Now perform the configuration for each status. described in the following chapters.

    Fields marked  with "*" are required information and a selection must be made for each status (Pre-live, Live, and Post-live). Also note that the On Demand settings can be found in the Languages tab.

    Settings for the stream which will be available after the actual event, are made in the Post-live area.
