The following table lists all roles -, videos -, and channel rights of the VideoManager.

| Administration rights | Administration area | All administrative tasks can be performed in the VideoManager, i.e. the "Administration" area is available for the user. |
| Edit security policies | The security setting in the video management can be selected for a video. | |
| Player Generator | The area "Player Generator", in which you can customize players, is accessible only with this right. | |
| Video rights | View videos | The list of videos in the video management is accessible. |
| Edit videos | The video can be edited. These include among others changing metatdata, creating chapters, the publication of videos, etc. | |
| Replace videos | The function "Replace videos" in the advanced editing of videos can be executed. | |
| Upload videos | New videos can be uploaded in the VideoManager. | |
| Add videos to/ remove videos from channels | Videos can be added to specific channels, or it can be removed from the channel. | |
| Delete videos | Videos can be moved to the recycle bin and scheduled for final deletion from the VideoManager. | |
| Publish videos | Videos can be released for publication and then be published. | |
| Publish videos on Facebook | Videos can be posted on a Facebook page. | |
| Publish videos on YouTube | Videos can be provided in a YouTube-channel. | |
| Channel rights | Create channels | Channels and subchannels can be created. The channels or subchannels created by a user are not visible for him, if he does not have the right "View channels". |
| View channels | The already created channels are visible in the navigation (channel tree). | |
| View channel-content | The video lists of the respective channels and subchannels are visible. Prerequisite is that the right "View videos" has been assigned as well. If the user does not have the right "View channels", the list of all videos is visible, but not channels with the respective videos. | |
| Edit channel | Channels can be edited (renamed). Prerequisite is that the right "View channels" has been assigned as well. | |
| Delete channels | Channels and subchannels can be deleted. Prerequisite is that the right "View channels" has been assigned as well. | |
| View subchannels | The already created subchannels are visible in the navigation (channel tree). Prerequisite is that the right "View channels" has been assigned as well. |
