The movingimage Webcast Consumer makes use of a networking technology called websockets, which allows for real-time updates of viewer messages. While this technology has been in use and well supported in browsers since 2011, we are aware that some corporate networks are configured in a way that restricts or prevents the use of the technology.

If this is the case, when opening a Webcast that ordinarily would use Websockets, an information panel will be shown:

If the information panel is shown, and the Webcast is configured to use any of the chat messaging functions, viewers will need to use the "refresh" button (highlighted below) to retrieve any new messages that are posted.

Since the restriction on Websockets is applied by the corporate network, movingimage cannot override or work around this. For further information, contact your local network administrators.
