To import and then manage the recording of a live webcast stream in a VideoManager, define your VideoManager with the necessary access data. This enables you to work with recordings comfortably and without the need to do anything extra in VideoManager's video asset management. In addition, the VideoManager defined here can be used to assign a video source for the pre-live, post-live and on demand states of your webcast. Videos are then played out directly from the defined VideoManager in the webcast.
To create a new VideoManager in the WebcastManager, proceed as follows:
- In the navigation panel, click "VideoManager". In the editing area, you will see a list of all previously created VideoManagers.
- Click the [Create] button to open a form.
Enter the following information for your VideoManager:
Fields marked with "*" are required information.
- Name
- VideoManager-ID
- VideoManager Host - https://api.video-cdn.net/
- VideoManager User
- VideoManager Password
Playout Host - https://d.video-cdn.net/
Note that the VideoManager and Playout Host values are different if you are using a custom VideoManager instance. Please contact Customer Relations if you require further assistance.
- Click the [Save] button to save your entries. The newly created VideoManager will appear immediately in the list of all VideoManagers. You can edit it again later by clicking it.
