If you have a large number of video data, a structured data organization can be very useful for a efficient retrieval of specific files. For this purpose channels can be created.
Channels and its sub-channels are organized in a tree structure in the navigation area of the VideoManager. Depending on your rights you can access channels easily due to the clear overview.
To create a new channel, follow these steps:
- If you want to create a sub-channel, mark first the main channel, in which you intend to create the sub-channel.
- Click "cogwheel" symbol > Create.
- Enter the required channel name in the text field, then click the [Create] button. The new channel is created and is directly shown in the hierarchically structured channel tree.
- To rename the channel mark the required entry in the channel tree, then click "cogwheel" symbol > Rename.
- To delete a channel mark the required entry in the channel tree, then click "cogwheel" symbol > Delete.
