A structuring of the data can be very helpful in the retrieval of a specific video in a wide variety of uploaded videos. You can create channels for this purpose.
Channels, as well as their subchannels are arranged in the navigation in a tree structure. Depending on your user rights, channels can be accessed easily.
In the navigation pane of the video management, you see all established channels and subchannels. If you want to add a video to a channel, you can easily drag & drop the video to the channel. The assignment of a video to a channel establishes a link of the video with this channel.
To create a new channel, follow these steps:
- If you want to create a subchannel, first select the desired channel, below which the new subchannel should be placed.
- Click on the "cogwheel" symbol > Create.
- Enter the desired channel name in the text box provided and then click on the [Create] button. The new channel is created and appears in the hierarchically structured channel tree.
- To change the name of a channel, select the relevant entry in the channel tree, then click on the "cogwheel" symbol > Rename.
- To delete a channel, select the relevant entry in the channel tree, then click on the "cogwheel" symbol > Delete.
