WebcastManagers can now prepare a webcast to be streamed in multiple languages. You will notice changes in the following areas of the software:

  • WebcastManager / Streaming Server - When creating or updating a streaming server, you will notice the new "URL Templates" pane. These are the templates used to generate URLs for the webcast. Here you can add a "$language$" placeholder, which will automatically create different URLs for each language you choose to support.

  • WebcastManager / Webcast / Presentations - You may now assign each presentation a language. This helps to keep copies of presentations in multiple languages organized.

  • WebcastManager / Webcast / Languages - The new "Languages" tab now exists when editing a webcast. This is where you can create and edit multiple language "sets" for your webcast. Language sets consist of the stream URLs and slide presentations associated with the specified language. Each set must contain the same number of presentations and slides.

  • WebcastConsumer - If the webcast is set up to support multiple language streams, the consumer will be able to select their desired language from a drop-down menu.

The operator doesn't need to worry about these multiple language sets because cue points set from the default language will be injected into all other language streams at the same time.
